| | Steps to follow to become a VCSC volunteer:Applying: Filling in the proper form gives the Vanier Community Service Centre (VCSC) an opportunity to find out who you are, what are skills and what are your interests and experience. It will also act as a guide in determining the best ways the we can make use of your talents. Participating in an interview: The interview gives the VCSC an opportunity to get to know you better and for you to get to better know the VCSC.The screening process: Following an interview you will be asked to supply references and the permission to check them out. The VCSC’s policy is to follow-up on any volunteer’s criminal record who may have contact with the VCSC clients. Volunteers who work at community activities will only be subjected to an interview. Orientation and Training Orientation will help you acquire full comprehension of the VCSC and training will help you learn about the program where your volunteer services will be required.
