Settlement Program

The Vanier Community Services Centre’s settlement program is a free service established to assist Ottawa’s newcomers with their integration.

Eligibility

  • Permanent resident 
  • Convention Refugee and Protected Person 
  • Foreign Student 
  • Temporary Foreign Worker 
  • Foreign student with work permit (post-graduate)
  • Applicant for Humanitarian and Compassionate Considerations with an approval letter

Notice to Our Clients

For any consultation related to our services, please bring with you an immigration document showing your ID number, UCI of eight or 10 digits. Thank you for your understanding.

Each client is unique. For that reason, you will initially meet a settlement counsellor who will assess your needs in order to guide you through your integration process.

The settlement program offers a citizenship class to support permanent residents in their process to become Canadian citizen prepare for the exam.
