An apprenticeship is a pathway to a rewarding career in the trades. As an apprentice, you take classes and learn your trade by working under the direction of experienced workers – and get paid while you do it. It takes between two and five years to complete an apprenticeship. Once you're done, you get a Certificate of Apprenticeship that allows you to go for the next level of certification so you can get better pay and more jobs.
